After a successful and festive winter performance of A Christmas Carol at the Auditorium at UHeights this past December, Bread & Roses is back this summer to bring the UHeights community some Shakespeare in the Park with A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM!
This play is about dreaming of what could be and the courage, chaos, mischief, and magic it takes for us to change what is. This DREAM will be performed in rooms without stages, in the middle of a square of chairs, with all the lights on, and live actor-driven music. This is theatre up close: intimate, immediate, imaginative, and free for all!
Bread & Roses Theatre Company is touring local emergency and transitional housing shelters, community centers, recovery spaces, low-income senior centers, and public libraries this summer with a raucous and romantic new adaptation of William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM.
