Roger spent time with our Conversations group tracing the history of education for African American people.

He explored how aspects like geography have contributed to the education for African American people and how he noticed similar patterns with students of color he taught in the city.

In celebration of Black History Month, we welcomed guest speaker Roger Walker, an educator from Philadelphia.

Our Thursdays at 10 Conversations group got to chat with Nico about his experience as a transgender man and go through a brief history of the transgender community.

We learned how important it is to listen to the transgender community and learn the language they use to affirm their gender presentation and identity.

In March 2022, we welcomed guest speaker Nico Leonis, a Seattle based queer theorist, poet, activist, and transgender man.
