TELL YOUR STORY, YOUR WAY.
And become part of a unique visual history.

The UHeights Sketchbook Project celebrates you, the people that make up our community. This is your platform to communicate your personal story. The way we see it, a sketchbook is more than a compilation of drawings--a sketchbook is a means to open up dialogues. This is how we can start a conversation on backgrounds, private experiences, occupations, secrets, memories, challenges and accomplishments--all in a safe space. These sketchbooks will provide a vital “moment in time” snapshot of what life is like here and now. Though your stories will be individual to you; they will instantly become part of a larger community in our neighborhood and beyond, as these projects are being established elsewhere.
Your voice will be preserved in a physical library within the walls of our historic building in the University District of Seattle.
So tell it like it is! Create history instead of just reading about it.
And leave your indelible mark.

Each participant will receive a 28 page 4-1/2 x 6" booklet. It's up to you how you want to fill it up. Use pencil, pen and ink, paint, words, collage...your creativity is the limit! You even get to decorate the cover. Come up with a theme for your booklet or switch up each page based on your mood. This really is whatever you would like it to be. This is your creative outlet. The fun part is that your booklet will become part of a library for visitors to flip through and gather inspiration from.
