TIPS for Teens: The Intersection of AI and Expression

TIPS for Teens is back for the summer with a TEEN TAKEOVER! All our sessions will feature a teen guest speaker who will share and lead conversations with their peers on a topic of their choosing. After discussion time, participants will engage in writing and sharing their TIPS letters as a tool to explore the guest speaker's topic more.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: 

Asha Viswanathan is a junior at Shorecrest High School, they run a science club and are passionate about life sciences and computer science. They love exploring the intersection between math, science, and art and can burp their ABCs.

ABOUT THE TOPIC:                                                                

Asha will be talking about the increasing integration of AI, specifically in the arts field, and what it could mean for our future.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Our facilitator for TIPS for Teens is Anika Tara Rao. Anika is currently in 10th grade. She enjoys singing, cooking, traveling, and laughing with friends and family. Anika was inspired by her mom Dr. Anu Taranath to create safe spaces for talking about sometimes uncomfortable topics. She loves leadership and is very excited and thankful to be able to connect with you all!

TIPS is a book written by Dr. Anu's UW students during their study abroad program in India, encouraging us to see ourselves and our surroundings anew via thought-provoking letters to Things, Ideas, People and Self (TIPS).
