About the Event
Join UHeights Theatre Alliance member, Filament: A Collab Lab for an online Dark (on Mondays) Creative Recovery Workshop!
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Looking to self-start a project (or multiple) but keep struggling to find the will to begin or continue? This surreal time in our lives has left many of us paralyzed but also with the deep need to create. About this upcoming class, our guest instructor Teague says, “We are adding ease to creative processes, understanding mindset shifts that can help make the process one of self-expression rather than work, and giving ourselves space to create because it’s our nature—not because we need to be productive.”
ABOUT THE GUEST INSTRUCTOR:
Teague M. Parker (He/Him/His) is an Actor, Playwright, Improviser, Producer, and Teaching Artist focused on bringing art to new audiences! A graduate from Western Washington University, he founded “Come Up Productions” which highlights up-and-coming artist, while bringing Free Theatre & Live Events to the Washington community. With over ten years of improv experience, He has developed “Improv for wellness” workshops, classes, and training for groups ranging from professional Improvisers, business entrepreneurs, and people simply looking to develop a better love and awareness of themselves. Teague’s improv training will help you feel confident and free in any passion you pursue.
ABOUT FILAMENT:
Filament: A Collab Lab is an experimental theatre company co-founded by multidisciplinary artists: Brittany Allyson, Nathan Brockett, and Sophia Franzella. Their productions seek to engage all five senses and take advantage of the inherit theatricality of Seattle's terrain. "We break theatrical conventions to engage the senses {and} get minds out of asses {and} asses out of seats {and} onto their feets!" Currently hosting DARK (on mondays), a PWYC drop-in workshop series occurring on the 1st Monday of the month, as members of the 2019 & 2020 UHeights Theatre Alliance.
