Join UHeights Theatre Alliance member, Filament: A Collab Lab for their Summer Workshop - Summer Movement Flow!

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

We've been dancing alone in our living rooms for over a year, but it's time to wake up our senses and move outside under the warmth of summer sun! Join Parmida in a refreshing session of movement open to all levels and bodies. We will use a set movement phrases and improvisation prompts to explore the nature around us through all of our senses.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Born and raised in Iran, Parmida Ziaei is performer, choreographer and designer currently based in Seattle. Parmida started dancing at a young age with training in classical Ballet, and from there expanded to many other dance styles including Classical Persian dance, competitive ballroom dancing (Latin and standard dances), and Contemporary. She has been teaching, performing and choreographing dance and theatre performances nationally and internationally. Parmida often brings together the intricacy and flow of Classical Persian dance, the freedom of contemporary movement and fierceness of Latin dance to tell a story.

ABOUT FILAMENT:

Filament: A Collab Lab is an experimental theatre company co-founded by multidisciplinary artists: Brittany Allyson, Nathan Brockett, and Sophia Franzella. Their productions seek to engage all five senses and take advantage of the inherit theatricality of Seattle's terrain. "We break theatrical conventions to engage the senses {and} get minds out of asses {and} asses out of seats {and} onto their feets!"
