ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

If you find yourself saying, "I could do it better than this," perhaps you have considered producing your own show, starting a production company, or launching your own business. Of course, the obvious first step would appear to be funding, but really, the first step is people. Seattle producer and Artistic Director of Reboot Theatre Company Jasmine Joshua will talk about their experience founding their own company and help guide us toward realizing our own dreams.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Jasmine Joshua (they/them) founded the Gregory Award-winning Reboot Theatre Company in 2014. It has since become the queer darling of Seattle theatre, launched careers, and garnered awards, grants, and accolades from all over Puget Sound. In addition to being a playwright, actor, and director, Jasmine also has served as a gender consultant for projects at ArtsWest, Village, and 5th Avenue Theatre.

ABOUT FILAMENT:

Filament: A Collab Lab is an experimental theatre company co-founded by multidisciplinary artists: Brittany Allyson, Nathan Brockett, and Sophia Franzella. Their productions seek to engage all five senses and take advantage of the inherit theatricality of Seattle's terrain. "We break theatrical conventions to engage the senses {and} get minds out of asses {and} asses out of seats {and} onto their feets!"
