Sugato Nag was born into a musical family in Bengal, India, his father an instrumentalist and his mother a vocalist. He went on to win many of the countries most prestigious awards and scholarships, as he studied with the top musicians of his region, including the legendary late Pt. Budhhadev Das Gupta.
Apart from performing throughout India, Sugato has toured extensively in the US, Canada, Germany, France, UK, Holland and Japan, playing in University circuits as well as in Music Conferences. He holds the audience in sway with his scintillating and exquisite performances. SugatoNag.com
Ravi Albright is a professional tabla player and the Executive Director of Seattle Tabla Institute and Adjunct Professor of Tabla at Lewis & Clark college in Portland, OR.
Born in Seattle, Ravi is one of only a few ganda-banda (formally recognized) disciples of Pt. Anindo Chatterjee of Kolkata, India. In 2006 he was initiated into the Farukhabad Gharana, one of India's traditional tabla schools. Ravi has performed with India's most accomplished musicians such as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ut. Shahid Parvez Khan, Pt. Tejendra Majumdar and many others. RaviAlbright.com
