Join Filament and UHeights for the October edition of DARK: on mondays! Instructor and director Wiley Basho Gorn will lead you in exploring how to approach classical text in our contemporary bodies.

Have you ever wanted to work on heightened text but were too intimidated? Now is your chance! And at a Pay-What-You-Can rate!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Wiley is a director, dramaturg, and text coach based out of Seattle WA. He has a deep passion for exploring and developing authentic connection to language, both classical and contemporary. He recently returned from Ashland OR where he did a six month residency in Shakespeare dramaturgy and text work at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Over the course of the workshop we will look at the physical places language lives in our bodies. I believe that each word has a meaning beyond the one found in the dictionary. Through repetition, movement, and vocal exercises we will break down the cerebral meaning of these words and explore the physical life they lead within us. We will work with a combination of both classic and contemporary text as well as generate some of our own. Please wear clothes that are comfortable to move in.
