ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

In this workshop, instructor Brittney Allyson will lead you through a variety of songwriting approaches & exercises to help you combat writer's block! Even if you've never written a song before in your life, you are bound to walk away with an original diddy and, ideally, more courage, confidence and self-acceptance. No music theory required! ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Brittany Allyson (She/Her/Britt) is a proud filament: a collab lab cofounder and Seattle-based Actress, Director, Singer-Songwriter, Jazz Vocalist and Tarot Reader. In fusing her affinity for music and theatrical training, Britt creates multi-media productions, such as "HERe* [hidden in the mask]" - a pop-up theatrical concert performed at Bumbershoot 2018. 

FUN FACTS: Creative Recovery is her JAM!!! She cocreated #saturdaysongassignment - a quarantine songwriting challenge with GG Rogers,  in which they have been writing 1 song per week for the last 18 weeks!! Follow her on IG to learn more & join the challenge! @brittanyallysonofficial

 

ABOUT FILAMENT:

Filament: A Collab Lab is an experimental theatre company co-founded by multidisciplinary artists: Brittany Allyson, Nathan Brockett, and Sophia Franzella. Their productions seek to engage all five senses and take advantage of the inherit theatricality of Seattle's terrain. "We break theatrical conventions to engage the senses {and} get minds out of asses {and} asses out of seats {and} onto their feets!" Currently hosting DARK (on mondays), a PWYC drop-in workshop series occurring on the 1st Monday of the month, as members of the 2019 & 2020 UHeights Theatre Alliance.
