Bollywood Dance with Geeta

As a new 2020 member of the U Heights Theatre Alliance, Afsaana Dance Company's Artistic Director Geeta is excited to host online Bollywood Dance Classes to our community! This series is for ages above 16. No prior experience required.

In a 3 week series that started 4/21, we meet on Wednesdays (4/21, 4/28 and 5/5) from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, learning the dance moves from the popular Bollywood song 'Bole Chudiyan'! You still have time to join for the 2 remaining sessions on 4/28 and 5/5. Once you RSVP, you will be emailed the part of the choreography we learned on 4/21.

Ticketing: The pay-what-you-can tickets for this series run from $20 ($10 per class) to $40 ($20 per class) in increments of $5. If you'd like to participate and cost is a barrier, please write to us at info@uheightscenter.org and let us know.

Afsaana, in Urdu, means a story.  ADC was established in 2011, focusing on storytelling Bollywood style!  Afsaana Dance Company believes that Bollywood is a melting pot of dance styles from around the world.  The ADC style of choreography takes the audience on a journey, not just focusing on the latest and greatest songs of today, but also creating pieces that go back to the era of that music.  ADC creates routines that truly interpret 'Afsaana.'
