ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

This class will be an introduction into the wonderful world of improv. Through a series of games and exercises, we will look at the building blocks of improvisational theater. Be ready to play, laugh, and learn! WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR BIO: Kate Jaeger is an award-winning actor, director, educator, and improviser. She has over 20 years of experience as an improviser and teacher. As an actor she has worked with 14/48, ArtsWest, Book-It Repertory, Jet City Improv, Macha Theatre Works, New Voices, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Taproot Theatre Company, and Teatro Zinzanni.

ABOUT FILAMENT:

Filament: A Collab Lab is an experimental theatre company co-founded by multidisciplinary artists: Brittany Allyson, Nathan Brockett, and Sophia Franzella. Their productions seek to engage all five senses and take advantage of the inherit theatricality of Seattle's terrain. "We break theatrical conventions to engage the senses {and} get minds out of asses {and} asses out of seats {and} onto their feets!"

ABOUT DARK (on mondays): When not producing a show, Filament provides PWYC, drop-in workshops for the Seattle community at large, regardless of theatrical experience, entitled: DARK (on mondays). As a proud member of the University Heights Theatre Alliance since 2019, DARK (on mondays) workshops are typically held on the first Monday of every month from 7:30-9:30p at University Heights (in the Auditorium space on the second floor) located in the University District. Due to the nature of the pandemic, Filament has been hosting classes on ZOOM!
