About the Event
Help our neighborhood get ready for the longest running street fair in the United States, the U District StreetFair on May 18th and 19th, 2019! Held the weekend before the StreetFair, the U District Community Cleanup is the opportunity to connect with neighbors, do a little revitalization and share in community. Neighborhood Residents gather together to meet new friends, share a meal or two, give a little back to their community, and "Spring Clean"their neighborhoods.
Be a Spring-Cleaner-Upper! Bring yourself, your friends and/or a team from work and help pitch in to make the neighborhood look great for the thousands of visitors who will be arriving the next weekend for StreetFair.
As part of the activities, the U District Partnership will offer prizes (donated by local businesses) for found objects (AKA trash) in categories such as:
* Best Mother's Day GIft
* Most Romantic Item
* Best Lawn Ornament
* Item with Best Back Story
