12 Angry Jurors (Saturday show)
The jury is the cornerstone of the American court system. There is no better recourse for a defendant than to trust their fate to a jury of their peers - right? What if those human beings are influenced by their own experiences, their own biases, even their own physical discomfort in the jury room?

About the Event
This is a ticketed event, but if cost is a barrier, please let us know.
In the classic film and stage play 12 Angry Jurors (originally called Twelve Angry Men) twelve men and women, a cross-section of a quintessential American community, are asked to decide whether a 16-year-old boy is guilty of murdering his father. The evidence seems damning, and most are quick to want to decide. But one juror insists that they all at least “talk” before convicting the boy and sending him to Death Row. There ensues an often heated discussion, in which each juror is challenged to overcome his or her prejudices and preconceptions, to decide whether there truly is room for “reasonable doubt.”
Global Works continues its hit program of Lawyers On Stage, in fully staged dramatic readings of classic shows about the law and the American courtroom. The 1957 film of Twelve Angry Men featured such stage and screen luminaries as Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Ed Begley, Martin Balsam and E.G. Marshall.
Our Global Works production, in coordination with University Heights Center, is directed by Seattle theater notable Theodore Deacon. It brings together a talented cast of local courtroom lawyers and jurists, including: the Hon. Marsha Pechman of the local federal bench, and veterans of recent Lawyers On Stage readings, such as Alice Brown, Michael King, M.J. McCallum, Tim Parker, Marsha Todd and Susan Roe.
