Black History Month

Promoting Business, Advocacy, and Celebration

February is Black History Month and UHeights along with our community partners, Phinney Neighborhood Association, Scarecrow Video, Abbey Arts and University Family YMCA, is honored to recognize the history, impact, and achievements of the Black community. We will honor this month by highlighting important historical figures and by promoting a series of local, Black-owned businesses and artists. We will also have different events throughout the month as part of the celebration. Join us!

On Thursday, Feb 11th, our monthly Discussion Group welcomed guest speakers Dennis Flannigan and Herman Hutchinson. Here is a recording of the moving and inspiring conversation:
