Our Impact

Dedication to Human Services

With your support, we brought together our community to make a difference. Together, we have made the exterior of our building a refuge for our unhoused neighbors, providing hot meals, showers and outreach to people living in their vehicles.

"The Safe Lot program is wonderful. I received so much help and resources [like] the tiny house, the safe bathroom to go to in the middle of the night, and the referrals to additional services in the area, I was given so much support. This care you provided is what helped me to find housing and stay sane while looking for work."

“UHeights opened its doors to my son’s preschool after it was displaced from their long-time U District home. Without their partnership, I would have been at a total loss for childcare at a time when healthcare workers were critical to our community’s pandemic response.”

Dedication to Lifelong Learning

Together, we have expanded opportunities for early learning programs, with a focus on serving families who are low-income. We provide a home for children who attend school and afterschool programs, as well as the Thursday at 10, which provides groups and courses for our community members of all ages.

"UHeights is an intersections of creativity, education, and community outreach. It's so much more than a historic building. It's a place where I work, create, and educate. I've developed so many treasured memories and relationships. UHeights, for me, is where I find joy."

Heather Jessup, Broadway Bound Children's Theatre -  Co-Artistic Director

Commitment to Art and Culture

Commitment to Arts and Culture

From 2019, the UHeights Theatre Alliance was formed to provide affordable space in the face of steadily increasing rental rates in Seattle. Our Theatre Alliance hosts workshops and performances, all available to the community at a pay-what-you-can rate starting with free. In addition, UHeights has our own Artist Collective, which supports local visual artists through art shows and tabling events throughout Seattle.
